On the 24th a group of my friends put a together a kids run. We had different age groups that ran different lengths. We had popsicles, cookies and medals for all of the kids. Also the first three winners in each age group got an even bigger cookie with their place number on it. It was so fun to see the kids get ready to run, they were so excited. I loved their faces when I yelled go. About half way through the race I could see exhaustion. Rio did great, she didn’t finish in the top three but she had fun. Krey was not impressed at all, he sat really well in the stroller but did not had too much fun.

Up date

These days Krey is into everything, he loves to crawl ALL over and up the stairs too. he has 5 teeth and eats everything you give him. He has had milk a few times, but if you give him chocolate milk he will spit it up. I’m having so much fun watching him crawl around and learn about things. He LOVES the bathroom. He also loves to be with Rio. He has a big smile and one dimple. Rio is being potty trained AGAIN! This time it is going much better. I have cleaned up some nasty accidents this time but there are fewer accidents over. He loves to play with cousins and friends. If she does not have a friend to play with then we play pretend. Mostly it is getting in the closet and knocking on door, and asking if you can come in. The most important thing is your name. When we play pretend one of us is Pita and the other is Olga. She came up with these names on her own. Other names that she has said are.... Owner, A.E., and then some regular names like Linda and Summer. She makes me laugh all of the time.

O how Rio loves her cousins. This week Emilee was coming down to lehi to get Maddies pictures taken,(by the way maddie looked great for her pics!!). They brought Rio a cousin! Kaitlyn!! She came and we had ice-cream, thanks to Em. We played outside, upstairs, downstairs, and all over. It was fun and Rio was sad when Kaitlyn had to go.

Our new favorite pool, "The Old Lehi Pool". This pool is not too busy, has a high dive (that i go off!), and a slide. we really like it.
Us just being at home!

Today we went to the library and painted a picture on the window. It was very exciting and Rio really liked the name of the woman in charge, Linda. As you can see by the picture Rio started out painting pink, then orange, and last she covered it all up with some green. She had a great time and thought she was such a lady. Krey and I watched Rio for a while until…. He found her water bucket. So he helped himself. He washed his arms, and then he needed to wash his face.
The women in my area are great! We have play group once a week at Amy's house and it is a pool party, and Krista put a field trip schedule together for us too! This week was the FIRESTATION!!

July 4th!! We slept in, went swimming, had an awesome BBQ with the neighbors, and saw fireworks. It was a very enjoyable 4th, but no pictures. Late that night while our little family was in the back of the truck, parked upon the mountain, ready to watch the BIG fireworks, I was thinking……O this is so great, I’m in love with my husband, and he is wonderful. My kids are great; we are up here on this mountain making wonderful family memories. I reach over and hold Cameron’s hand and we exchange a happy smile, both thinking the same wonderful thoughts. Then…. Rio says… I DON’T LIKE THIS, I WANT TO GO HOME.
Friday night we went with the Olsens, Longeneckers, Ricos, and Grandma and Grandpa White to the RSL Soccer game. Rio and Ellie jumped in the jumper before the game. Hailey and Ellie played during the game and everyone else watched. It was fun! RSL tied, but that is better than a loss. At the end of the game they had fireworks, Rio didn’t like them until the end but Krey LOVED all of them.
Friday morning Rio, Cameron and I went to hike the Timpanogos Caves. The Timpanogos Caves are located in American Fork Canyon and is a popular visitor attraction. Now that I have lived in Utah County for 3 years I thought that it was time for me to go. This would be Rio’s first time and mine but Cameron has gone many times before. The hike up to the caves is 1.5 miles, and Rio did really well ¾ of the way. After that the hike goes down hill. We got to the top in about one hour and then we went into the caves. It was much cooler than I thought. We saw stalactites and stalagmites, bacon, popcorn, a carmel room, Hidden Lake, and much more. I was surprised at how narrow some of the spots were that we passed through. The cave tour was 1 hour also. Rio was pretty much done after 30 minutes, for a 2 year old that was long enough. Imagine keeping your wild 2 year old under control in a DARK, dangerous cave that echoes, all while on tour with 17 other people. Once we got out of the dark cave we let Rio run around a bit before we started the trip back down. She was very tired and unlike the trip up, we carried her down. Back at the trail head we ran into Smokey the Bear. She was a little scared but not as bad as when she saw Santa or Leo the Lion at the RSL Soccer games. Over all a good trip, but we wont be taking Krey until he is at lest 5 years old.
Her is my little man “tiger”, with his after hair cut hair do!! Rio in her “red dress with hearts on it”, she loves to wear dresses now. She had on my shoes and has her scriptures and is pretending to go to church. Notice her AFTER hair cut. O and she has on her necklace on that she made up camping.
On the 2nd the kids and I went to Kelly’s to get our hair cut. Kelly is my friend from Fox Hollow and she is great with the kids. I just cleaned up my hair cut. Rio had 3 long inches taken off! and Krey had his FIRST hair cut. Kelly even put some hair in an envelope for me. I’m not sure what to do with it but I have it. At home Rio loves to “play Kelly”. This is when she does my hair with a brush and comb. One time after we played Kelly my head hurt for an hour, because she brushed it so hard. Now we play “SOFT Kelly” If you look (you don’t even need to look close), you will see that Rio is wearing a red dress with her purple cowboy books. Yes that is right, she looks GOOD! O, and Krey is in his PJ’s. Don’t worry it was an early hair cut appointment.

One of the best parts about this years camping trip was that our Grandma Hall came!! She is fun to be around and we all admire her and enjoy her visits. This is a funny picture of Grandpa making a caft too.
The last day of camping we all went to Lava Hot Springs. That morning I kept asking people if they were Men or Mice. You were a Man if you dared jump off the high dive (33 feet) and you were a mouse if you didn't. Well I have jumped off the high dive before and I knew I was going to be able to do it again. I just wanted to get others to do it with me. To make a long story short and less embarrassing for me, I will just tell you, I’m worse than a mouse because I attempted twice at jumping off the high dive. Both times ended in me walking the walk of shame back down. I did however jump off the 2 high dive towers at 27 feet, I just couldn’t add on the extra 6 feet for the highest high dive. Still Lava was a great time, and I loved it!
