On Sunday the 22 of February Johnny, Emilee, and Maddie came down to have Sunday dinner and to decorate sugar cookies. Emilee is very good with Rio and lets Rio do everything that big people get to do, like make the frosting. Rio loved it and I think Emilee did too. While they cooked Cameron, Johnny and Maddie were up watching a movie. Krey was taking a nap.

Obviously you don’t need snow to go sledding, and a good thing too because they were sledding in the house. Rio with her friend Nicole

On Valentine’s Day we went to lunch and then to the Draper Open House. Rio was so excited to go to the temple. that On the way there her dad asked her if she wanted to go to the store, she said “No, go to the temple”. We went with our good friends Matt and Julie Shupe. The temple was wonderful and well organized. Rio really loved the BUS ride and the cows. After the temple we went with the Shupe’s to get birthday ice cream for their son at McDonalds. (I only have before temple pictures.)
We took Krey swimming for his first time! He liked it! He is now 6 month and is 17 pounds one ounce. We have come a long way from his birth weight of 4 pounds 11 ounces. He is rolling and trying to hold his own bottle. He smiles, laughs and LOVES Rio. He is also eating cereal. I love this boy! Oh, we took Rio too.
On February 6th Grandma Sharon came over to stay the night. Rio was so excited. She was going to sleep in the playpen while Grandma Sharon slept in her bed. We had a fun night, but I think Krey had the best time. Grandma gave him his first licorice. The next day Grandma went to a teacher workshop at UVU. We went to Plain City and had lunch with Grandpa and Grandma Great.
Happy Day, because our cousins come to see us. We were very excited to have the Hall girls and CJ come over to our house today. we made cup cakes, had lunch, and just played played played! Thank you Girls and CJ for making to long drive down, we love you!

Hailey Longenecker came over to say Hi! We were surprised and very glad to see her, and her parents. Rio and Hailey played and played ate licorice and played some more. The next Wednesday Hailey came over AGAIN! She taught Rio a new word. – sure -. If you ask Hailey anything she will say –sure-. Now if I ask Rio to do something she says –sure- instead of yes. I think it is so cute. Thank you Miss Hailey.

GOOD NEWS

My son rolled over 2 times tonight!!

Baby Doll

Rio has been a lot more into her baby. *As I was making Rio’s bed I tossed her doll just on the ground out of the way, you know because that is what you do right? No, Rio said: Baby!! Mom, you bonked her head. How was I to know that just now the baby had feelings? Sorry baby. *Now this is funny… you know how Rio’s baby has feelings, well apparently they go away when she needs to stand on her baby to become just a little bit taller so she can see something just our of her view. Funny that she can hurt it, but I can’t. *I asked her what her babies name was, and she said Doll. As in baby doll, it makes sense, because we call Krey “baby Krey” and we call her baby “baby doll” so her babies name is Doll. *The other morning I was on the computer and I need Rio to give me just a few more second. So to buy me a little more time I tossed her baby a few feet from us and told her to go get her baby. She did. When she came back I had to sit in time out. Then realizing what I had done I did go in timeout. Once I was on time out Rio asked if I could be nice now. *Rio had gotten dressed for the day and thought that she needed to dress her doll, so as she was dressing her doll in her own size 2T clothes I thought I would help things out. I showed her a little dancing dress that goes to a bunny she got in Kansas and told her to put that on her baby. Well, that was a good idea! Then I rememberd the little dancing outfit that was handed down to us from Maddie and gave it to Rio to put on. She wore the outfit ALL day. * For morning prayers I said “help Rio to be happy and go pee on the potty”, you know because you pray for stuff like that when you are potty training. Then Rio wanted her turn to pray and she said, “Heaven fader, be happy and baby go on the potty”. Just to let you know we had 2 accidents that day. Other common sayings: **Who is it? She always asks who I’m talking to. **I just hold it. When she is told she can’t have something and she just wants to get her hands on it. **Nice and warm. She says this when she covers something up with her favorite yellow blanket. **Guess what.. last night Santa scare me, and I sing jingle bells. I don’t know why but she always says this. She says it in the truck to her dad, and on the phone to her grandmas.

Ouch.....Nursemaids Elbow

Tonight Rio pulled her radius out of socket and because it was 900 before we decided to take her to the Dr. it was too late and they said we would have to take her to the hospital. Well we go to the ER and they check it was tell us that the radius can come out of socket and it is called nursemaid’s elbow. Well after it popped back in place she was fine. Funny thing was is that she was running when she got hurt, we were not swinging her around or anything.

High chair time
On the 29th and 30th the kids and I went to my moms house for a night over. We got there and picked up grandma to go to the fabric store so we could make pillows. Then that night all of the big girls came to mom’s house for a game night. We played Maddies new LIFE game and talked and talked. We stayed up until 12! The next day some of us went sledding on the snow pile and then grandpa pulled us behind the tractor, it looked easy, but it was a little tricky. We had a great time! After sledding we ate pizza and played more games.
If your kids were this cute then... you would do this too.... so cute, you just have to squish them

Christmas DAY

Christmas morning was very fun, we got up at 830 (a little late, but we wanted Rio to be happy). We opened gifts and Rio helped all of us. We got lots of wonderful things and the kids got GUNS, yes guns. Single shot rifles. Grandpa Pat got them guns, he was sad that Krey was already 4 months old when he got his first gun. I think 4 months is plenty early. Rios little gun is pink! After gifts and breakfast Cameron, Rio, and Krey all took naps. Grandpa and Grandma built a snow slide in their front yard. It snowed all Christmas morning, by the afternoon it was great for sledding. Then we went down to Tony and Gina's and Pat pulled everyone around on the sled behind the four wheeler. It was so fun!! What a great day.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we went to my Mom and Dad’s. We had a lovely traditional dinner with all of the fixings. Then Maddie played some Christmas songs on her violin. Angela read us a story about the Mother Mary and Jonny read us a story about the Father Joseph. It was lovely, but a little loud with the kids. Then Alyson sang a beautiful song and Taylor gave a talk about the birth of Jesus. Then Gracie played Away in a manger and we sang a long. She did a great job. Catherine also played (on my mom’s new piano), as we sang along. Then it was gift time!! We all got a beautiful picture of the First Presidency from my mom and dad. It was a fun night, thank you everyone. After that we drove down to Pat and Julies to spend the night.

Wow, what a party!!

On December 20 we had the Hall Family Christmas Party. It was so nice, we ate hamburgers, fries, and onion rings. We had ice-cream sandwiches for desert but not very many people ate them because we were so full from the excellent dinner before. This dinner was not the usual dinner it was different, but it was great. WOW, it must have been a TON of work. Also there was a movie of the great grandkids, it was so cute and even more time went into that production. The fun does not stop there, because then Santa came and was a hit. Rio liked to look at him from a far, but was not too excited to sit on his lap. Don’t worry because Cameron and I are good parents we put her on Santa’s lap anyway. (She cried). Santa handed out these wooden block nativity sets that were made especially for the little kids and again I’m sure they took so, so, so much time to make. Thank you and I love it! After that we played to white elephant game. It was such a nice party and we all had so much fun. Everyone helped make it nice but Vurlia and her family really worked hard and made it an AWESOME party!

Snow shovel?

The week before Christmas it snowed at my house, and it snowed and snowed. Mind you, Cameron and I don’t have a snow shovel. So Cameron and Rio went out to see what they could accomplish. Rio used a house broom to sweep away the snow and Cameron used a square nose shovel to move the snow around. I say move the snow around because that is all that really got done. They worked hard for a little while and needless to say I still have snow/ice out on my drive way. But what can I say, you didn’t get a picture of me out there helping.
